Did you know that 1 in 7 households in Colorado are spending more than half of their total income on housing?
The average cost of homes on the regular market continue to rise each year. That makes our mission of affordable homeownership more important now than ever. You can help us make a difference in that fight! Specifically, in our service area alone, the average price of a new home can be around $800K to a million dollars. Habitat homes, in comparison, range from $170,000 to $300,000.
The diverse community members we serve may currently be buckling under the pressure of rent and other living expenses. They may never have the opportunity otherwise to buy a home and to start building generational wealth. But with your support, we can make opportunity a reality instead.
Our resources create an enormous impact on our families’ ability to achieve long term homeownership. Flatirons Habitat strives to build strength, stability and self-sufficiency for our partner families.
Many of those who have received a Habitat home have expressed that ownership allowed them to feel safer, save more money, create stability, and improve their health and well-being.
But we can't do this alone. The work we do is the direct result of our community's support. Please consider getting involved.
