Molly Schmidt serves as Director of Construction and Land Development for Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, where she helps lead construction operations, modular housing production, site development, permitting, and project delivery. In this role, Molly supports Flatirons Habitat’s work to expand affordable homeownership through innovative construction methods, community partnerships, and the continued growth of BoulderMOD.

Molly brings more than a decade of experience in community-driven design, construction, modular housing, and design-for-manufacturing. Before joining Flatirons Habitat, she served as Director of Product Design and Development at ZenniHome, where she helped lead modular housing projects from design through production, permitting, QA/QC, and site installation. She is also a co-founder and board member of the Bluff Community Foundation and has worked with Design Build Bluff on design-build education and housing projects with Navajo partners.

Molly holds a Master of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College, a Certificate in Urban Planning and Sustainability from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Health and Education from the University of Illinois. She also teaches Architecture Studio at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her background brings together construction leadership, systems thinking, community engagement, and a deep commitment to expanding access to safe, affordable housing.

Outside of work, Molly enjoys reading, hiking, river dipping, and connecting with her community.
