Liz Lotz

Community Engagement Manager

Liz Lotz brings more than 25 years of experience creating welcoming, inclusive environments and building meaningful connections across communities to her role as Community Engagement Manager at Flatirons Habitat for Humanity. Her background spans more than two decades in public relations, communications, marketing, events, and community engagement for a wide range of companies and nonprofit organizations. She brings that experience together with a love for her community and a genuine passion for helping people feel connected, valued, and part of something bigger.

In her role, Liz draws on her experience building relationships, coordinating volunteers and events, engaging diverse audiences, and creating experiences that bring people together. Most recently, she served as a Community Experience Associate at Kiln in Boulder, where she fostered a warm, connected community for a diverse membership. Her work as a paraeducator in special education has further strengthened her person-centered approach and her commitment to making sure everyone has meaningful opportunities to participate.

A graduate of the University of Iowa, Liz has worked with numerous companies and nonprofits to build awareness, strengthen relationships, and connect organizations with their communities. Liz also lived in Panama for five years, where she was an educator and organized bilingual community events, coordinated volunteers and community partners, led fundraising campaigns, and cultivated relationships with donors and community stakeholders.

Known for her warmth, creativity, organization, and genuine care for others, Liz is excited to put her experience and energy toward Habitat’s mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Outside of work, Liz loves spending time with her husband, three daughters, dog, and three cats. She enjoys traveling, thrifting, online auctions and trying (sometimes successfully) to keep her plants alive.
