Linda Sanders
Associate Executive and Finance Director
Linda Sanders serves as the Associate Executive and Finance Director for Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, where she provides collaborative leadership and sound financial stewardship in support of the organization's mission to expand affordable homeownership opportunities throughout Boulder and Broomfield counties.
With a professional background in public health, Linda brings a unique perspective to affordable housing, recognizing that safe, stable, and affordable homes are fundamental to individual and community well-being. Her work is guided by the understanding that housing is a critical social determinant of health, creating positive impacts that extend far beyond shelter to support stronger families, improved health outcomes, and greater economic stability.
Linda's leadership style is highly cooperative and partnership-oriented, making her especially effective in Habitat's collaborative approach to addressing housing challenges. She values relationship-building and works closely with local governments, nonprofit organizations, community groups, donors, and other housing stakeholders. By fostering open communication and shared problem-solving, she helps strengthen the many partnerships that are essential to advancing affordable housing solutions across the region.
She is also passionate about creating homes that are both affordable and environmentally responsible. Linda advocates for high energy-efficiency standards and is particularly interested in practical, cost-effective approaches such as passive house design principles, which reduce energy consumption, lower utility costs for homeowners, and improve long-term housing sustainability. She believes that efficient, healthy homes help ensure affordability not only at the time of purchase but throughout a family's homeownership journey.
Outside of work, Linda enjoys exploring the outdoors of the Rocky Mountains, spending time reading, and working on a variety of projects with her family. Whether tackling a home improvement project or enjoying a good book, she values opportunities to learn, create, and connect with the people she cares about most.
