Ken Jollofsky

Ken's passion for construction began as a volunteer with a small nonprofit dedicated to developing and sharing affordable do-it-yourself solar designs. Inspired by that experience, he became a handyman and later a licensed contractor, working in the construction industry while putting himself through college. After earning a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Ken quickly realized that life behind a desk wasn't the right fit.

He went on to build a career in nonprofit construction, serving with the Tallahassee Housing Foundation, Petersburg (Virginia) Urban Ministries, and several Habitat for Humanity affiliates. Before joining Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, Ken spent 16 years as a Site Supervisor with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville, where he helped build homes and strengthen communities alongside volunteers and future homeowners.

At BoulderMOD, Ken enjoys working with volunteers in the factory and helping complete the finishing touches on homes as families prepare to move in. His approach is rooted in patience, mentorship, and collaboration.

Unlike many construction professionals who grew up in the trade, Ken discovered his passion as a young adult. Because he remembers what it was like to learn from the ground up, he connects naturally with first-time volunteers and takes pride in teaching new skills, fostering teamwork, and building community alongside volunteers, contractors, and Habitat families.
