Dustin Burke serves as the Quality Assurance Manager at Flatirons Habitat for Humanity's BoulderMOD Factory, where he oversees quality assurance processes to ensure every home meets the highest standards of safety, craftsmanship, and performance. His work plays a critical role in delivering energy-efficient, permanently affordable homes that provide lasting value for local families.
Dustin brings more than 18 years of experience in construction, quality control, and operations management across a wide range of industries. Throughout his career, he has led quality assurance initiatives, supervised complex construction projects, managed schedules and budgets, and ensured compliance with rigorous industry and safety standards. His expertise includes process improvement, workflow optimization, project estimating, and fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. He holds certifications in NRMCA Plant Management and structural welding and is a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holder.
Raised on his family's almond farm in Northern California, Dustin developed a strong work ethic, resilience, and a practical approach to problem-solving from an early age. His career has included experience in masonry, welding and fabrication, residential electrical work, aircraft manufacturing, agricultural irrigation, and heavy civil construction, where he worked with both private companies and government agencies around the world.
In addition to his construction background, Dustin has built a successful real estate investment business, growing a portfolio of more than 30 long-term rental properties and gaining extensive experience in residential redevelopment and housing finance. His passion for affordable housing and innovative building methods ultimately led him to Flatirons Habitat, where he is committed to improving quality, efficiency, and production while helping more families achieve the dream of homeownership.
Outside of work, Dustin enjoys spending time with his family, pursuing real estate investing, and continually seeking new ways to improve systems, solve complex challenges, and expand access to affordable housing.
