Braxton Baker

Braxton Baker serves as Factory Manager at Flatirons Habitat for Humanity's BoulderMOD Factory, where he leads production of energy-efficient, permanently affordable modular homes and oversees the day-to-day operations that keep the factory running safely and on schedule. He joined Flatirons Habitat on August 4th.

Braxton's career in manufacturing and construction leadership stretches back to 2010. He has led development of an AI-driven platform unifying quoting, ERP, scheduling, and production for a precision machining company serving the aerospace and defense industries, managed quoting, purchasing, and supply chain operations for another aerospace-focused CNC manufacturer, and led fabrication and safety programs for a custom equipment maker serving the oil and gas sector. His background also includes managing structural welding operations, running operations for a general contractor specializing in insurance claim restoration work, and overseeing operations for an oilfield tooling and explosives manufacturer.

Braxton's path into affordable housing runs deeper than his manufacturing background suggests. He grew up in Granbury, Texas, and in 2013 an EF-4 tornado tore through the town's Rancho Brazos neighborhood, damaging or destroying roughly 60 homes that Habitat for Humanity of Hood County had built with local families. Braxton has since worked multiple disaster relief campaigns with All Hands and Hearts, a nonprofit that has partnered with Habitat for Humanity International on disaster response, including recovery work tied to that same storm. That experience shaped how he thinks about the mission behind the work he does now.

Outside of the factory, Braxton lives on a family ranch in Berthoud with his wife and two daughters. He's an avid outdoorsman who loves motorcycles and collects WWII antiques.
